Nā Kama Kai is proud to host the 9th Annual Keiki Surf Kontest at the legendary shores of Mākaha Beach. This family-friendly, two-day event celebrates the next generation of ocean-minded keiki through fun, inclusive surf heats, cultural activities, and community connection.
Designed for Mākaha (96792) keiki (ages 18 and under) of all skill levels, the Keiki Kontest is more than a surf competition — it’s a celebration of aloha, ʻohana, and kuleana to the kai. With divisions for various age groups, cultural learning stations, and safety-focused beach activities, this event uplifts every child and encourages confidence, respect, and joy in and around the ocean.
